Eww Germs!!
Quick Tip:
Wash your hands with warm water and soap before eating. Hum the “Happy Birthday” song from beginning to end TWICE when washing your hands to make sure all those gross germs are gone!😉
Back to school encompasses many things, one of which is packing lunches. Your child’s lunch may include perishable items that need to be kept cold to reduce risk of foodborne illness. Such things could include sandwiches made with meat or cheese, fresh fruit and vegetables, yogurt or string cheese. Insulated, soft-sided lunch totes are best for keeping perishable foods chilled. Two cold sources, such as a small frozen gel pack or frozen juice box, should be packed with perishable foods. Frozen gel packs will keep foods cold until lunchtime, but are not recommended for all day storage.
