From the Facebook of: Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources

Found throughout Wisconsin, the striped skunk, like this one spotted in Dunn County, is well-known for its black fur with white stripes and the strong musk it sprays as a defense. Weighing an average of 4 to 6 pounds, this mammal is primarily nocturnal, like most of the furbearers of Wisconsin, meaning it is active at night.

This activity pattern is reflected on Snapshot Wisconsin’s Data Dashboard. This unique tool allows you to view animal activity by hour and month for 22 different Wisconsin wildlife species spotted by the statewide network of trail cameras!
