There are 2 camp experiences offered this year:
Base Camp: 4-H members and guests in 3rd-6th grades from Columbia, Dodge & Sauk Counties.
Outpost Camp: 4-H members and guests in 7th & 8th grades from Columbia, Dodge & Sauk Counties.
What is Base Camp?
Base Camp is a structured experience that offers campers a variety of activities throughout the day. Campers are placed into cabin groups of 5-10 and supported by a camp counselor. Base camp cabins will be in large cabins with twin beds or twin bunkbeds. Most cabins have a rest room in the cabins. There is a separate shower house with individual private showers. Campers participate in Swimming, Archery, Crafts, Disc Golf, Canoeing/Kayaking, Fishing, Scavenger Hunt, Nature Exploration and more. Camp days typically start at 7am through lights out at 10:30pm.
What is Outpost Camp?
Outpost camp is a more rustic camping experience. Cabins will be less modern, and campers will cook many meals over the fire. The schedule is less structured leaving time for youth to plan their days events together.
Outpost Campers will sleep in small cabins of 2-4. Most cabins have electricity, but no plumbing. Campers will have access to community restroom and shower house within walking distance. A porta-potty is also available at the far end of camp headquarters. There is a separate shower house with individual private showers. There are only 20 spots available for outpost camp, so register early!
Camp registration includes: meals, lodging, supplies, educational programs, expertise of the Columbia, Dodge & Sauk County Camp staff (youth counselors & adult volunteers) & more!
