The Dodge County UW-Extension office team including Borden and Witzel, along with Ellen Bohn, 4-H Program Assistant and Tracy Malterer, 4-H Support Staff work together to create a newsletter to inform the 4-H members, leaders and families about the opportunities coming up in the Dodge County 4-H program each month.  The content and format of the newsletter changed this year to make it more interesting for the readers.

Witzel and Borden were both recognized as a part of the office team for a Wisconsin Communicator Award-Team for Periodical Publication.  This award application has been forwarded to the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents (NAE4-HA) for regional and national award consideration.

Borden received a Communicator Award for News Story.  The news story highlighted the hands-on educational opportunities in the agricultural areas at the 2015 Dodge County Fair.  Visitors, who interacted with the displays and the youth who stepped up to advocate for agriculture, came away with renewed regard for youth involved in livestock projects through 4-H and FFA.

Both Witzel and Borden also received “Colleague of the Year” awards from the WAE4-HYDP for their distinguished efforts in colleague development and exceptional contributions towards programmatic effectiveness.
